How to make your own taco seasoning at home
The ingredients are readily available, easy to find in most grocery stores and in fact, most of them are pantry staples for us! You can easily make double or triple batches so that it’s on hand for when you need it.
You will need some kind of airtight containter with a secure lid. I choose to use mason jars with screw on caps; easy to use and store in the pantry and I mark the lids with a Sharpie so that the seasoning is easily identified.
A bowl large enough to hold the amount of mix you are planning to make.
A whisk, fork or anyting to combine the ingredients together.
The Ingredients

1/4c paprika (I used smoked paprika)
3T chili powder
1T each of garlic powder, cumin, dried basil
1/2tsp cayenne pepper
1.5T salt (I use pink Himalayan)
1/4c cornstarch
1/2tsp black pepper
2T onion powder
1T dried parsley

Measure out all of your ingredients. If I add the ingredients to the bowl as I go along, I forget what I’ve already done, so I measure out everything I’m adding first!
Next, Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and carefully whisk the ingredients until well combined.
After your taco seasoning is well mixed, use a canning funnel and scoop your mix into your container of choice.
Place a tight fitting lid on the filled container and lable TACO SEASONING.
Store in your pantry or in a cool dry place.
Use this seasoning in all of our favorite dishes and enjoy!
